The Unworn Collective
The Unworn Collective exists for the moment when someone leaves and has nothing. In that moment, clothing is not secondary. It is essential to safety, care, and dignity. We provide ready-to-use, survivor-centered clothing kits that remove one of the most immediate barriers individuals face after trafficking or sexual assault. This work is built alongside advocates and used in real time, ensuring support that is practical, immediate, and human.
The Impact
The impact of this work begins in the first moments after someone leaves. Through our partnership with the S.A.F.E. Center of Iowa, individuals are no longer walking into uncertainty without the most basic necessities. They are met with clothing that allows them to access care, move safely, and begin to stabilize. These are small details, but in that moment, they change everything.
For advocates, this means no longer carrying the burden of filling this gap on their own. They have immediate access to what they need to fully support someone. What is being built through this pilot is not just a resource, but a shift in how those first moments are handled. It is a model grounded in real experience, designed to work as is, and built to reach far beyond a single location.
